When choosing your Bengal kitten, it is important to educate yourself on the breed standard.

All Bengal breeders should ensure that their breeding cats conform to the breed standard as closely as possible, in order to maintain and improve the breed. Bengal cats should have a 'wild' look to them and it would be a shame if some of the key features of a Bengal such as large, nocturnal eyes, small ears, puffy whisker pads and  a soft, plush pelt (especially the pelt texture, as it is unique to the Bengal breed) were lost, due to people breeding from inferior cats.
